Callum Wilson in good place for Newcastle United return this weekend — Eddie Howe




Callum Wilson is in a "good place" and is in line to return for Newcastle United at Fulham alongside Bruno Guimaraes, but Allan Saint-Maximin faces a late fitness test.

Record signing Alexander Isak, however, is out with a muscle injury he sustained during training with Sweden, even if Eddie Howe, the head coach, insists the scan results "don't look too bad".

Chris Wood will also be assessed overnight, alongside Saint-Maximin, after the striker picked up a rib knock while playing for New Zealand, but Guimaraes' hamstring injury has recovered sufficiently for the Brazilian to make the matchday squad.
